May 2023 We worked with Kathy and Marissa on the sale of our unique home and property in Garden Valley in the summer of 2022. In our initial conversations, Kathy and Marissa walked us through every step of the selling process. It’s hard to keep track of what’s supposed to happen when, and they were always easy going and quick to respond to our questions about what should happen and when, even when we asked again, and again. They were also very transparent about the real estate market in our small town as well as what was happening across the state and nation helping us set clear, realistic expectations. To get our home ready to list and shine a light on all the great features of the place, Kathy and Marissa came over and provided suggestions on what tasks we needed to do, including what personal items to pack away. They even spent hours staging our home before photos were taken so it looked its best. When the house listed, they provided updates on views and inquiries at least once a week, if not more so that we were informed up-to-the-minute. When we received the offer, they walked us through every part of it to be sure we understood the terms of the offer. While negotiating with the buyers, we were confident Kathy and Marissa were in our corner, persistently working to get us the best offer and get timely responses from the buyer’s agent. And once we were in contract, they kept us well-informed about the hoops we needed to jump through with inspections, etc. Kathy even came out to rescue me and my two dogs on the night of the final walk-through, after my car battery died late in the evening so that I could get home! Throughout the entire process, Kathy and Marissa were calm, communicative, professional, and reassuring. They always went above and beyond to make this experience positive, from before we listed to after we closed. When we worried (full disclosure—we had some big freak outs) that our home would never sell, they eased our panic with incredible patience and held our hands every step of the way (and offered reassuring hugs and encouraging smiles when we needed them, too). Without a doubt, I know they always had our best interests at heart. In the end, we got a great offer and closed within four months of listing—an impressive outcome in a challenging market. Kathy and Marissa worked so hard for us. I cannot say enough about how awesome these two are.
